Add or reset verification phone numbers in Apple tree School Manager

Any users with a role of Ambassador, any Manager, Staff, or Teacher all require a half-dozen-digit verification code along with their Managed Apple tree ID password. This verification code, which is sent to a phone number associated with the user business relationship, enhances the security of Apple School Director.

New verification codes are required every 30 days.

When to add a verification phone number

For users having either an Ambassador role or a Director part (for example, Content Manager), you may want to add together more than than one verification telephone number.

Note: Each phone number receives a lawmaking that must be entered to verify that specific number. Have all the phones nearby so the codes can be entered.

When to reset a verification phone number

If the user changes phone numbers, yous should reset the user account to ask for a new phone number. Accounts that have identical privileges or lesser privileges can be reset only by you lot.

Add a verification phone number

Go to the Apple ID website and sign in with your Managed Apple tree ID.
In the Security department, click Edit.
Click "Add together a trusted phone number," enter the phone number, select Text Bulletin or Phone Telephone call, then click Continue.
Enter the 6-digit code, and so click Verify.

Reset a verification phone number

In Apple tree School Manager , sign in with a user that has the role of Administrator, Site Manager, or People Director.
Click Users in the sidebar, then search for a user in the search field. See How to search.
Select the user from the list.
Click , and so click Reset.

When the user signs in over again, they're prompted to add a new phone number.
